Backstory:
Son of Damean, Tyrael began adventuring for the Blade of the Last Citadel when he was young. He adventured with Sir Cord for a hundred years before a battle in Uraq. This war had the two split up, with Tyrael heading south and Sir Cord heading north.
Tyrael found the monastary containing the sword, and found he was the one chosen to wield it. After learning his new techniques, he headed north back to Ptolus. There, he rejoined Sir Cord and began his adventure into the banewarrens.
The prophecy surrounding the sword says that he will die protecting his allies.
